This Institute is dedicated for promotion and overall development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises by extending all possible support to existing MSMEs and nurturing prospective entrepreneurs. It is being achieved by imparting training through various programmes besides coordinating with all concerned departments for effective implementation of programmes & policies of Min. of MSME in the State.
The Sikkim is gifted with good fertile land and natural resources with unique bio-diversity. Looking into tough global competition for MSME’s, this Institute is playing a vital role in the State by providing assistance and training in different fields. The huge resource of educated and skilled manpower is another great strength of the State of Sikkim and thus has been chosen as the second thrust area by the Institute to channelize their energy in most flourishing area of service sector by imparting training in different emerging trades under Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes. This would provide considerable competitive edge in this global market and may bring a sea change in industrial scenario of the State in near future. This institute with the support of officers of different disciplines is contributing for up-liftment of MSME’s for making the ongoing mission a great success.
