MSME-DEVELOPMENT & FACILITATION OFFICE, GANGTOK,SIKKIM,GOI, formerly – Small Industries Service Institute (SISI), Gangtok is a field Institute of Office of Development Commissioner (MSME), under MSME-DEVELOPMENT & FACILITATION OFFICE, GANGTOK,SIKKIM,GOI, Government of India. The main function of MSME-DEVELOPMENT & FACILITATION OFFICE, GANGTOK,SIKKIM,GOI, is to provide Techno- Economic and Managerial assistance to existing enterprises as well as to prospective entrepreneurs. The important activities undertaken by this institute includes organization of various training programmes like Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Programme, Management Development Programme, Industrial Motivational Campaign, Special Seminars/Workshop on related topics in addition to assisting new and existing Entrepreneurs in setting up enterprises, Marketing , Exports, Capacity assessment, preparation of project reports, vendor development, preparation of District Industrial Potentialities Reports and State Industrial Profile. This Institute is also implementing policy guidelines of The Development Commissioner (MSME), New Delhi under Ministry of MSME , Govt. of India. It is one of the prime organizations which formulates and monitors the policies and program of Govt. of India for the promotion and development of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises all over the country through MSME-DEVELOPMENT & FACILITATION OFFICE, GANGTOK,SIKKIM,GOI and its Branches offices.
MSME-DEVELOPMENT & FACILITATION OFFICE, GANGTOK,SIKKIM,GOI is located at Tadong Bazar on the 31A National Highway in Gangtok and functioning from 1976. This office is situated at an approximate height of 4500 feet above sea level. The office is headed by a Director who is a technocrat having vast experience and knowledge on various field of promotional activity related to MSME sector assisted by experienced and committed technical and managerial officers. This office is also well- equipped with library, modern audio visual aids for training purposes as well as modern state of the art office automation equipment.
